The start to our 2026/27 season is just one sleep away. All existing players, players within or outside the Ipswich Cricket system are encouraged to join us tomorrow night at Baxter Oval. 6pm start with a BBQ to conclude.

Do you want to be a Hornet? Our 2026/27 Men's season kicks-off next Thursday evening on the 9th of July. All existing and aspiring men's Hornets players are encouraged to attend our first session from 6pm until 8pm at Ivor Marsden Sporting Complex Ipswich. The club will also host a BBQ to celebrate.

Thank you to the Ipswich Cricket Community. After nine seasons of volunteering, coaching, and administration, including five seasons on the Cricket Ipswich Board and two as General Manager, my last day as GM of Cricket Ipswich will be Friday June 5th. As I look forward to my next chapter starting at Queensland Cricket, it is timely to reflect and thank all those that have helped and supported along the way. Following up on the back of our awards night, here's a quick look at last season's century makers in all grades! Well done to those who received century awards and batting aggregates on the night.

Alex Welsh is our Ipswich Cricket player of the year An impressive 50 wicket and 242 run season. Alex also skippered the Laidley-Mulgowie 1st division side to the one-day and two-day titles. Well done Alex.

Our hornets ladies player of the 2025/26 season is Hannah Freiberg! A season to remember, with the highlight being her innings of 127 from 108 balls in round 15 against Sandgate-Redcliffe. Well done Hannah.
