Community Cricket Program

Community Grade Info

Cricket Ipswich administers a community cricket program for both Senior and Junior participants. The senior community competition consists of 3 divisions and 9 member clubs across greater Ipswich, the Lockyer Valley and Fassifern. The community competition runs from October to March each season and teams play a combination of One and Two Day fixtures as well as T20 matches.

The junior community program consists of four levels (0-3) and a Master Blaster program for our youngest aspiring cricketers. Games are played on both Friday evenings and Saturday mornings across summer with a break for the school holidays in December. Our 9 member clubs provide teams across each level which can lead to selection into Hornets Academy programs.

An insight into Jem’s Shield debut

An insight into Jem’s Shield debut a few weeks ago at the MCG! 💥💥 We couldn’t be prouder to see one of our own reach the next level. Jem has now featured in two Sheffield Shield matches taking 1/21 - 2/33 against the Vics, and 3/58 - 2/16 against South Australia. 🏏🏏 A month to remember for the Ryan’s! 👏👏

Wet Weather

A very wet weekend for all teams. Here are the updates for every team. Men's First Grade - No overs bowled - Subsequent red ball one day match on day 2. Men's Second Grade - No overs bowled - Subsequent red ball one day match on day 2. Men's u19 - Two matches abandoned - Just missing finals, finishing 3rd in pool B. Women's 2nd Grade - 31.3 overs bowled - Match abandoned with Ipswich 5/83.

The @jetsleaguesclub 1st Division and ACS GROUP QLD 2nd Division competitions once again yielded some excellent performances over the weekend with bat and ball. @jetsleaguesclub 1st Division winner: Jack Cobbin (Strollers) 4/32 from 15.2 overs with 3 maidens going at 2.08 an over. ACS GROUP QLD 2nd Division winner: Mitchell Raine (Marburg - Mt Crosby Thunder) 89 from 122balls including 5 fours. Well done to Jack and Mitchell.
